EFCC Recovers N65.5 million from Zamfara State INEC [NEWS]
Agents of the Economic and Finacial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Sokoto zonal office on Wednesday recouped cash to the tune of N65,548,000 (Sixty-5,000,000, Five Hundred and Forty-8,000 Naira) from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Zamfara State.
The monies which include 81 groups of N1000 notes, 97 heap of N500 notes and 96 bits of N500 notes were stacked in two flame resistant safes during a hunt directed in workplaces of the HOD Accounts and Cashier of the INEC.
The cash is suspected to be 40% illicitly deducted on reserves discharged to the INEC Zamfara office to take into account the lease of Canopies, Tables, and Chairs and furthermore assets for RAC (Registration Area Center) and development of men and materials to Polling Units, by the HOD Accounts and Cashier.

Ukashatu, Tsafe LGA; Tukur Garba Kaita, Bungudu LGA; Salihu Musa Abdullahi, Bukuyun LGA; Sadiq Abdullahi, Fari Anka LGA; Lawali Muhammed, Argungu Bakura LGA; Jafaru Gide, Shinkafi LGA; Tanimu Muhammad, Shinkafi LGA; and Hassan Abdullahi,Shinkafi LGA.
